Prerequisites for the investor permit

To be eligible for the investor permit in Mauritius, you must:

  • Set up a business or invest in an existing business in Mauritius

  • Hold the position of director in that company

  • Capital contribution depending options:

    • Deposit of USD 100,000 (non-blocked) from abroad into the company’s bank account
    • Reach a cumulative turnover of Rs 15 million (~EUR 305,000) within 5 years of obtaining the Investor Permit
    • From the 3rd year onwards: justify a minimum annual revenue of Rs 5 million (~EUR 100,000
    • For renewal from the 5th year onwards: justify a minimum annual revenue of Rs 8 million (~EUR 150,000)

  • Residence permit valid for 10 years, renewable upon meeting turnover conditions

  • Mandatory government fees for 10 years: USD 1,000 + USD 400/dependent
